Mines and Money Miami
February 19-21, 2025
Kristi M. Rogers hosted a public-private panel on the sidelines of the Mines and Money Miami conference that welcomed experts from the mining, processing, financing, OEM, and other sectors to discuss how to unlock private capital in the critical mineral and rare earth element value chain. Kristi also moderated a panel at the conference on ‘Unlocking US Government Support for Critical Minerals’.

Preceding the Mines and Money Miami conference, PRISM cohosted and convened a fascinating, invite-only executive level roundtable. I was thrilled to moderate the discussion along with fellow co-host Remi Piet, Ph.D Piet, Co-Founder and Senior Partner Embellie Advisory.
The 40+ participants included experts from across the value chain, from mining companies, industry, investors, and key government allies and partners from around the world, all of whom understood the immediate challenge, and all who are ready to make real, substantive progress. We need to seize upon the motivation of the administration, desire of allies and partners to work with Washington, and the ready capital of the private sector to secure our access to these most vital of materials.
It was a pleasure to engage with top industry minds, including Seth Levey (Glencore), Gregory L. Bowman, J.D., LL.M. (Siemens Government Technologies), Scott Friedman (Altana Technologies), Carl Coward (neoterra partners), Dan Bicz (Pangea Infiltration), Lawrence Jones (EEI), Emily Olson (Vale Base Metals), Robert McEwen (McEwen Mining Inc.), and Marcelo Godoy (AngloGold Ashanti).

Kristi Rogers was thrilled to moderate a great discussion on how the federal government can leverage its resources to derisk projects and unlock private capital, and how America and our allies can increase access to and secure critical mineral and rare earth element supply chains in the short term. Special thanks to Mines and Money for convening this timely discussion, and to my excellent panelists who made moderating a breeze: Colin Williams, Mineral Resources Program Coordinator, US Geological Survey, Marina Demidova, Head of Communications, Cobalt Institute and, Remi Piet, Ph.D Piet, Co-Founder and Senior Partner Embellie Advisory.
A huge thank you to the organizers Mines And Money and Beacon Events and everyone who contributed to making this event a success! Looking forward to continuing these conversations and driving progress in critical mineral supply chains.
